Wednesday nights - 6:00 PM
AWANA meets during the school year on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for ages 3 - grade 12. The focus of AWANA is to reach boys and girls for Christ and bring them to KNOW, LOVE and SERVE HIM. It is centered on the gospel of Christ, and scripture memory is a key element. Each week, Clubbers learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed His love through Jesus Christ. Trained leaders guide children through age appropriate Bible study designed to reach children with the His Gospel and train them to serve Him.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 NIV
Sunday Mornings - 8:30 AM - choir practice
Minister of Music: Mrs. Sheryl Lee
Lebanon Baptist Church is a church who loves God and we like to show it in the music that we play and songs that we sing. Our music prepares the hearts of those who listen to receive God's message and allows the Holy Spirit to begin to work in their hearts. We welcome all to join us and allow God to use them to minister to those that will allow God to do so. Come join us in the choir at Lebanon!
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving, and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
Psalm 95:1-3 NIV
Lebanon Baptist Church children's ministry provides a safe, educational, and spiritual environment for the children who attend. Each child is welcomed and cared for while allowing their parents to attend classes or worship. An extended nursery is provided for babies through preschool age during the worship hour. Kindergarten - 3rd graders attend worship with their parents through the music portion and are then lead out to attend Children's Church. All children have a Sunday School class for their age group where they participate in a variety of activities that help lay a spiritual foundation that will enable them to begin their Christian walk. These foundation principles include teaching the children about Jesus and His purpose, how to become His disciples, and how to share Jesus with others. Lebanon provides a place for your entire family.
Then people brought little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:13-14 NIV
The youth ministry at Lebanon provides strength and stability for our youth. We have dedicated leaders who love and invest their lives into our youth. Our desire is for them to have a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus, develop spiritual disciplines, establish moral boundaries, make wise choices, and have healthy friendships. Our youth enjoy special events like Disciple Now weekend, summer youth camp at Panama City, FL, and winter youth conferences in Gatlinburg, TN.
Since my youth God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
Psalm 71:17 NIV
Our senior adults group is a large and active group at Lebanon Baptist Church. Our goal is to provide seniors with opportunities to grow and to continue to serve, while at the same time providing opportunities for fellowship and meaningful relationships. There are Sunday School classes which provide Biblical teaching and a place to strengthen their walk with the Lord as well as encourage and equip them to make a real difference in the lives of others as they share their God given wisdom and resources.
On the 1st Wednesday of each month, a covered-dish luncheon is held at the church for anyone who wishes to attend. You do not have to be a member of Lebanon to join us!
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him."
Psalm 92:12-15 NIV
Lebanon Baptist Church has a heart for the Great Commission. Our vision is reaching people for Christ, helping them to grow spiritually, celebrating and serving Christ, and being on mission with God, for God's glory. Our Missionary Moments each week focuses on the work of Southern Baptist Missionaries who have answered the call to GO! We support the Southern Baptist Convention, Cooperative Program, Alabama Baptist Convention and Morgan Baptist Association. We are committed to pray for missionaries throughout the world. Information on the Cooperative Program can be found on the SBC website: http://www.sbc.net/cp/
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age
Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
